Aggregation of scheduling lines and statistics

[]

Symptom

You use ME85 to aggregate and renumber schedule lines for a scheduling agreement. When you look at the data in business warehouse, the changes to these schedule lines has not registered.
There is no delta update of BW from ME85.

Reason and Prerequisites

This is the normal behaviour of the system.
It is not possible to do a delta update of statistics in purchasing when schedule lines have been aggregated and renumbered. This is because the datasource 2LIS_02_SCL relies on unchanged schedule line numbers to recognize changes.
A delta extraction is based on being able to tell statistics that an object is changed. All statistics is based on objects and these objects are identified by key values. For the purchasing datastructure 2LIS_02_SCL these key values are the purchase order number (EBELN), the item number (EBELP), and the schedule line number (ETENR).
When you make a change to a schedule line, by updating its quantity, or through a goods receipt or an invoice, the object in statistics that is changed is identified by these key values.
Without these consistant and unchanging values it would not be possible to identify what object in BW was being updated. Renumbering changes a key value and so statistics must be recreated to bring the purchasing datasources into sync again.

Solution

You must run OLI3BW (RMCENEUA) for the changed document after using ME85 to aggregate and renumber schedule lines.
