Symptom

This note describes why there is a mismatch in the release times of the
BI 7.x frontend patches 901 and 902. Currently the release date of an older patch 901 is newer than the latest patch 902.

Reason and Prerequisites

Because of a production release error, the FEP 901 got deleted from the service Marketplace when the newer patch 902 was released. Hence for sometime the service marketplace didnt had 901. When 901 was reinstated, the release date in the webpage became higher than the release date of 902.
The current SMP location from where the BI 7.x frontend patches are released shows this anomaly in the release dates of the new patches.
Currently the release dates are shown as:

The actual dates should been shown as:

901 40780 28.05.2009
902 40751 10.07.2009

This issue is due to a production release error. Due to a technical issue, the 901 was deleted when 902 got released and we redelivered the old patch 901 on 13th July.

Solution

Customers are requested not to follow the erroneous date in this situation. Please understand that the patch 902 is the newer version than 901, and hence download 902 and use it as the latest patch before the release of patch 1000.
The future patch delivery dates are mentioned in the note 1085218.
