BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) services run under the ‘localsystem’ account by default.燦eed to燾hange the account that a BusinessObjects Enterprise (BOE) service runs under.
Reasons to change the account are as follows:
燭he service requires network access.燭he service requires the settings of a particular account.燙ompany policy dictates that the service must run under a particular account.
Reproducing the Issue
BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2

Resolution
1. Click ‘Start’ > ‘Programs’ > ‘BusinessObjects Enterprise’ > ‘Central Configuration Manager’.
2. Right-click the service you want to change and click ‘Stop’ on the submenu.
3. Double-click the service. This opens the ‘Properties’ dialog box.
4. Under the heading ‘Log On As’, ensure that the ‘System Account’ check box is clear.
5. Type the appropriate user name in the ‘User’ field. It is recommended that you use a domain administrator account with local administrative privileges on the computer. Ensure that the domain account is typed as "DOMAIN\User".
6. In the ‘Password’ field, type the password for the account typed in the ‘User’ field. Retype the password in the ‘Confirm password’ field and click ‘OK’.
7. Right-click the service and click ‘Start’ on the submenu.
8. Repeat steps 1 to 7 for any other services that you want to change.
